Introduction

I have loved the warm and funky sound of the electric piano for many years and thought I would have a go at spreading the word on some of the best tracks and artists. This is my first attempt to create a web page so I know there will be lots of fine tuning and improvements, hopefully though this site will grow into a useful resource. I do not claim to be an expert on any genre of music so if you have any suggestions or corrections I shall be pleased to receive them, so please do feel free to mail me.
The samples are currently in these two formats, MP3 and RealAudio (though this may change eventually). In order to play these you may need to download an appropriate player such as Nullsoft's WinAmp, Microsoft's Media Player or Real Networks' RealPlayer. The quality of MP3's is best but download time can be annoyingly slow when the net is congested, if this is the case try the RealAudio option. The samples are the same length in either format and are just there to give an idea of what the tracks sound like. They are, along with the cover art the property of the copyright owners. If you hear something you want to own you can always link to CD Now and make a purchase, or go to your local record store. Music that is not available from CD Now can often be found at Dusty Groove.
As I say on the front page, Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer are the most significant makes of electric piano, this being the case many modern keyboard instruments mimic or sample their sound. This site will feature the electric piano sound in general - however achieved, though personally I have a preference for vintage Rhodes.
The artists, albums and tracks that I am featuring are not in any particular order of merit. I am mixing the classic, the obscure and new releases altogether. I add new material every week so if there is a glaring omission it is probably in the pipeline and will appear sooner or later. Ultimately I may organise the tracks differently but this will only happen when there is a lot more of them. Finally, many thanks for stopping by, I hope you check back soon.
